Admin is my least favourite part of running a business, so over the years I’ve spent a lot of time streamlining everything as much as possible. Creating my Daily Checks document was one of the main priorities, as it’s one of the things you have to do to stay compliant. I wanted something quick and easy, that's all in one place and I can keep on my phone/laptop to save paper. 
 
The template includes:
✓ Cleaning schedule tab with list of opening/closing checks
✓ A daily checks diary with dates for 2026 and 2027
✓ Fridge temp logs
✓ Space to log any extra checks (deep clean, thermometer calibration etc)
✓ Note space for any issues, actions, or other notes
 
It’s easy to fill in from your phone, tablet, or laptop, and can be saved as a PDF to print off if needed for your food hygiene inspection! I had my second inspection at the beginning of June and my EHO was very impressed with my paperwork! 😇
